Welcome to EMI

Engine Monitor Incorprated's building in St. Rose, Louisiana Engine Monitor, Inc. (EMI) has a history of over 30 years of service to the marine industry providing state-of-the-art engineering and manufacturing to our customers throughout the United States. With a reputation for quality and customer support, EMI recently moved into a new 24,000 square foot facility just 3 miles from the New Orleans International Airport. With an in-house staff of engineers, programmers, manufacturing and service personnel, EMI has positioned itself as a marine integrator that can provide multiple products and systems, thereby allowing our customers a “one-stop-shopping” environment for many of the vessel’s critical monitoring and control systems.

EMI is committed to maintaining our lead in this industry through proactive research and development and concurrence with state-of-the-art technology. We have demonstrated this commitment through our recent introduction of a new Engine Order Telegraph System utilizing WAGO I/O technology and the development of our new Engine Control Throttle System, our alliance as a WAGO Solutions Partner & Siemens Solution Provider for automation systems and our alliance with Raytheon/Anschnütz to allow us to provide a full Integrated Bridge to ABS NIBS standards. EMI intends to remain at the spearhead of technology.

EMI Staff

EMI has a staff of over 40 employees that includes multi-disciplined degreed engineers and programmers, production personnel, service and hydraulic technicians and many employees that have been with the company over 20 years.  The EMI management staff consists of:

  • President: Ken Cognevich (Founder and CEO)
  • Senior Sales Engineer: Larry Dulcich (35+ years with EMI)
  • Operations & Engineer Manager: Shane Faucheux (10+ years exp, B.S. in Electrical Engineering)
  • Production & QA Manager: Kevin Kentner (20+ years with EMI production)
  • Service Manager: Scott Russell (10+ years with EMI service)
  • Admin Mgr: Liz Garcich (20+ years with EMI)
